He holds a PhD in Economics from the Université Catholique of Louvain and a Master in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University. He held visiting positions at the London School of Economics and Stanford University. He is affiliated with the CEPR, CESifo, Centro Studi Luca d’Agliano, and CRENOS. Previous to joining the University of Milan Andrea held an Assistant Professor position at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, and Post-Doc positions at the Geneva School of Economics and Management and at the McDonough Business School, Georgetown University. His research focuses on international trade (with focus on services trade) and international migration.
