The PhD in Economics at Milan and Pavia is an inter-university research-based training programme dedicated to preparing excellent economists.
We provide advanced training in fundamental skills in theoretical, applied and empirical economics, and we supervise doctoral students who want to develop research projects that add new knowledge in economics, and who want to acquire the competences needed for a career in policy making at the national and international level.

Objective and learning outcomes

Present the results in articles publishable in international scientific journals
Propose economic policies to address practical economic situations, relevant real-world economic issues and evaluate their effectiveness
