Alessandro Flamini

Alessandro Flamini is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Pavia. He has a Ph.D. in Economics from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva.

Before joining the University of Pavia he was tenured Lecturer at University of Sheffield, UK for the period 2006-2011. His short-term and visiting positions include periods at Harvard University, Eief, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, New Zealand Reserve Bank, and Princeton University. Alessandro’s current research interests are in economics of crime, and monetary and financial economics, with a special focus on organized crime and policies for macro and financial stability. His publications record in scientific economic journals includes Economica, the Journal of International Money and Finance, and the Journal of Financial Stability.
